The RN is responsible for following all WHC policies and procedures, care protocols and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a Registered Nurse, or Physician. The RN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data conferences, and continuing education is required as determined by the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients served on his/her assigned unit as described in unit-based competencies, policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with other staff members, provides bedside patient care, implementing the interventions identified in the plan of care, as directed by physician.
  • Ensure appropriate patient care documentation.
  • Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards.
  • Report quality of care issues to clinical manager or Program Director.
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Communicates with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions.
  • Non-Essential Functions and Other duties as assigned.
