About The Position
The PreSurgery unit features 27 beds and prepares patients for various surgeries, including orthopedic, spine, bariatric, general, and vascular procedures. The main duties involve assessing and admitting patients before surgery, which includes inserting IVs, giving preoperative medications, preparing surgical sites, maintaining accurate documentation, educating patients and families, following established policies, and working closely with the healthcare team. We seek candidates with strong interpersonal abilities, clinical assessment expertise, and critical thinking skills. Some shifts will require being on call. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
