About The Position
Where You Will Work: Atrium Health University City is a community-based facility with 9 Operating Rooms. We are located on North Tryon, next to the UNCC Campus. This facility is not a trauma center, but offers many specialty service lines including Orthopedics, Robotic, General, Urology and Gynecology procedures. We are the only Atrium facility that has earned the AORN Go Clear designation, for maintaining a smoke-free facility by managing surgical smoke plume. The team is a small, close-knit team and we participate in potlucks, and enjoy one another's company. We are a smaller Atrium facility and have a wonderful group of surgeons who are extremely collaborative and work well with all members of our team. What You’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. About This Location: Atrium Health University City provides health care services in the University City, Mint Hill, North Mecklenburg and Southwest Cabarrus regions in North Carolina. The award-winning maternity center provides personalized support and education throughout pregnancy, delivery and recovery, while the Emergency Department has more than 65,000 patient visits every year. Specialties also include cancer care, diabetes care, heart care, neuroscience, rehabilitation and much more. With the on-site Farmer’s Market and Teaching Garden, our teammates and community members have easy access to local, fresh foods, highlighting the nutritional and environmental benefit of locally grown produce. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- ACKS strongly preferred
- Previous PACU, Critical Care or ER experience strongly preferred
