The Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care to patients and their families within a specific unit or service, applying the nursing process, functioning as clinically competent, and appropriately delegating and supervising work.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school ASN Required
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
- One year nursing experience required
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
- Previous maternity experience preferred.
- Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care desired.
Responsibilities
- Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service or other primary area of practice with an awareness of the episode of care.
- Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice.
- Functions as clinically competent.
- Delegates and supervises work appropriately.
