About The Position

Seeking an experienced Pre-Op/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to support a high-acuity recovery room setting. This role requires strong inpatient PACU and critical care experience and the ability to function independently with minimal orientation.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (required)
• BLS certification (required; must be able to recertify)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU and/or Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital
• Experience in hospitals of similar or higher acuity (trauma center experience preferred for travelers)
• Must be eligible to work legally in the United States
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
• Subject to drug screening and criminal background check
• No history of professional license suspension, investigation, or liability claims

Nice To Haves

• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing care in an inpatient PACU setting
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitoring of post-surgical patients
• Deliver safe, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Utilize electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation
