About The Position

We are seeking an experienced RN for Pre/Post-Operative care in an adult PACU. The ideal candidate has Critical Care experience and is able to perform patient care independently with minimal orientation and supervision. This position is a short-term 13-week contract in an acute care setting.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• BLS certification (must be able to recertify)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (within past 2 years) in a facility of similar size and level
• Travelers will only be considered if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
• Must have no history of professional license suspension or investigation
• No involvement as a defendant in professional liability claims
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check
• Experience in field: Required, 2+ years
• NYS RN license: Required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in level 1 trauma hospitals highly desired
• Experience with EPIC EMR highly desired

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for adult patients in PACU
• Perform nursing assessments and deliver appropriate interventions in a critical care environment
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Document care accurately in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
