The RN OP Wound Care/HBO is a professional nurse who is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. Responsible to delegate tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed health care team members. Responsible for providing assessment and coordination of the care of patients requiring wound care assessment, management, and treatment. The RN OP Wound Care/ HBO will work in an intake/wrap up role initially with potential opportunity to advance to case manager. This position may also act in the dual role of Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (HRN). In addition to responsibilities of the Outpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse, the HRN acts as the attendant and control operator of the hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) chamber under the direction of the HBO physician. Hyperbaric oxygen experience is not necessary for this position and additional training can be obtained within the role. Demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
