About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Surgery provides pre-operative and post-anesthesia care to patients in an ambulatory surgical setting. This role requires strong clinical skills in patient assessment, recovery monitoring, and coordination of care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific, required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Pre-Op and PACU
- Certifications required: BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

- Experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia (PACU) nursing care.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions before and after procedures.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy as needed.
- Monitor patients during recovery and respond to complications.
- Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams.
- Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems
