Requirements

  • Applicants must have a current VA or compact RN license.
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire, or prior to completion of orientation if 30 days before hire
  • ACLS required within 6 months
  • PALS required within 6 months
  • Ability to take call; Must live within 20 minutes of the hospital

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Stroke Course preferred
  • Operating Room/Endoscopy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
  • Communicate with patients, family members and physicians frequently while providing excellent customer service and care.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and delegate patient care in a manner which ensures that patient needs are provided in an efficient manner, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and scope of practice by position.
  • Evaluating the total care for Outpatient Surgery patients as delegated by the supervisor
