About The Position
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care across a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, hands-on nursing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred based on unit needs)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
- Deliver wound care and post-operative nursing interventions
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and report changes in condition
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies, and evidence-based nursing practices
