About The Position

Functions as an extension of the manager/supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective operation of the assigned area. The lead utilizes independent and interdependent judgement and is expected to serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and clinic leadership. Responsible for general oversight of the assigned group and in addition utilizes technical and customer services aptitudes for day-to-day patient services. The Lead will also perform all essential functions/duties of the Clinic RN position as well as the additional duties.

  • An active license in the state of practice

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and resolves any facility problems or patient concerns in a timely matter.
  • Acts as a resource to staff for problem resolution and training and disseminates information to staff as requested by leadership.
  • Collaborates with the Supervisor/Manager to develop and implement an orientation and education plan.
  • Responsible for training new staff and for remedial training of existing staff.
  • Coaches and provides feedback to staff and to the leadership team as necessary.
  • Provides input to the Supervisor/Manager related to clinic staff appraisals, interviewing and hiring.
  • Assists in care to patients as directed by the provider.
  • Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
  • Makes appropriate referrals to other providers per physician instructions.
  • Provides accurate, completed, legible, and timely documentation of all patient procedures in the medical record.
  • Greets patients and conducts clinical interviews with patients to assess a variety of patient needs.
  • Provides open and timely communication with patients, families, and their significant others.
  • Provides sufficient information to allow patients and their significant others to participate in patient’s care.
  • Reports test results to patient per physician instructions.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies, materials and ensures cleanliness.
  • Assists in greeting, registering, and scheduling patients.
  • Answers phones promptly and takes messages or transfer to person involved.
  • Keeps patients informed of physician scheduled (i.e., running late, etc.).
  • Maintains flow of patients.
