About The Position

3NW General Medicine is a 34-bed unit at Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC), located approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago. The patient population includes individuals with heart failure, GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, psych conditions, infections, falls, chest pain, and detox needs. This role offers a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in an organization focused on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The unit is team-oriented, providing opportunities to manage a wide range of diagnoses and advance nursing skills, fostering a supportive atmosphere for career growth and lasting impact.

Requirements

• A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing (BSN or ADN)
• BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire

Responsibilities

• Perform trach care
• Conduct dressing changes
• Manage chest tubes
• Manage central lines
• Perform phlebotomy
• Manage pleurex catheters
• Provide exceptional care to patients
