About The Position

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting. ED RNs are responsible for rapid assessment, prioritization, and intervention for patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Recent ED experience within the past 6 months
• Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to formulate and implement effective nursing care plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function effectively in a high-volume emergency environment
• Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• PALS
• Telemetry
• NIHSS Stroke CEU – 4 Contact Hours

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments for both physical and behavioral health conditions
• Prioritize patient needs and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care in high-stress and time-sensitive situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide clear communication to patients, families, and care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
• Safely manage emergency equipment and monitoring systems
