Euclid Hospital’s Emergency Department features 16 private beds and a customized split-flow process that allows for expedited patient care and reduced wait times. Caregivers in Euclid Hospital’s ED provide care to all patient populations and work collaboratively to make each patient’s visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Euclid Hospital’s ED is focused on employee engagement, teamwork and caregiver collaboration. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
