Johnson 4 is a medical/surgical and cardiac telemetry Progressive Care Unit, which accepts patients 18 years of age or older with cardiac and Medical/ surgical conditions. Common Medical Diagnoses include Heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Syncope, Cardiac Dysrhythmia, Cerebral Vascular Accident, Circulatory disorder, Chest Pain, Pre and Post Pacemaker/AICD placement, and Pre and Post Cardiac Catheterization. As a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Team, you will be responsible for patient care.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Beth Israel Lahey Health requires that all staff be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• ACLS preferred
• PCU Experience preferred
• Progressive Telemetry Competency Education ~ preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments, administer medications/treatments,observes patients progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness
• Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care strategy plan for each patient
• Support and educate patients and their loves ones to achieve maximum outcomes
