About The Position

Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is a faith-based Catholic Healthcare Ministry committed to serving the poor and underserved of its community since 1853. It is a Regional Tertiary care facility serving a 150-mile radius of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, recognized as a leader in quality healthcare with designations including Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, STEMI Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The medical center has also partnered with Nationwide Children’s Hospital of Columbus to create Nationwide Children’s Hospital of Toledo on its campus. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care and teaching through the nursing process, directing and guiding other nursing personnel while upholding professional nursing standards and organizational policies. This role assists in providing care to patients of all age groups.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college/university or institution
  • Current Ohio RN licensure
  • BLS certification required
  • Other certifications are required per department policy
  • Must obtain ACLS and complete chemotherapy competency course within 1 year of hire/licensure
  • Nurses assigned to a specialty unit will be required to meet the criteria established for that unit
