About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring new graduate Registered Nurses into our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) / Medical Surgical AHRT Float Program! UP TO A $7,500 SIGN ON BONUS TO QUALIFIED CANDIDATE SUCCESSFULLY HIRED. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty. Shift Available Full Time, 36 hours per week Day Shift 7am - 7pm Overview Our program is designed for new graduate Registered Nurses who are already licensed. You will orient and work on Medical Surgical Units and Intermediate Care Units (IMCU/Stepdown) to gain valuable nursing experience. You will receive full-time benefits and new graduate pay with the addition of working on a Rotation Team to provide you with a variety of patient experiences. You will rotate between inpatient units every 12 weeks. You may remain in the program for a maximum of 2 years. After one (1) year, you may apply to any unit of your choice. Requirements

• RN-Associate’s Degree
• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Diploma
• RN-Master’s Degree
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
