About The Position
RN Professional Development Specialist (RNPDS) Centria Healthcare | Michigan (Field-Based Leadership) Are you an RN who loves to teach but is tired of being confined to the four walls of a hospital unit? Centria Healthcare is looking for an RN Professional Development Specialist who thrives on variety. This is a unique, dual-focus leadership role where you will split your time between shaping our nursing workforce through education and providing clinical oversight in the field. The Best of Both Worlds: Education & Strategy: Design curriculum and lead Trach/Vent certifications for ~15 nurses monthly. You’ll also analyze data to help us build the best nurse retention strategies in Michigan. Field Leadership (The Travel Aspect): You’ll head out into the community to manage a caseload of ~10 in-home supervisory visits per week. This role requires travel within the region, offering a change of scenery and the chance to see the direct impact of your leadership on patient care in their own homes. Why Centria? Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN License in Michigan and a BSN.
- 3+ years of experience across multiple settings. We need someone who can "speak the language" of different clinical environments.
- Experience in a teaching or clinical instructor role. Whether you’ve been a preceptor, a staff educator, or a formal instructor, we need your talent for mentoring others.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for in-home visits (lifting/pushing up to 30 lbs as needed).
