About The Position

Providence Summit Surgery Center in Santa Clarita, CA, has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse Post Op. The center provides first-class surgical services for local communities and recognizes its employees as its number one asset. In operation since 1985, the center performs over 6,000 surgeries per year across multi-specialty areas including ENT, GI Lab, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oral Surgery and Urology. The Registered Nurse Post Op is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, the role involves assisting physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. The nurse is also responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
