About The Position
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical unit. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of New York or compact, if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical and surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care
- Ensure adherence to patient safety and infection control protocols
