About The Position
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on high-acuity patients. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, including oncology and step-down cases, in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience in a similar-sized facility
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Georgia or compact)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with high-acuity patient populations preferred
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical/surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy (if certified)
- Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions such as oncology and sickle cell disease
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure adherence to patient safety and infection control standards
- Respond effectively to changes in patient condition
