Registered Nurse - Med Surg, Telemetry, Kelemen 8
About The Position
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Overview Kelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, illnesses and disease processes. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges. Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family.
Requirements
- Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)
- Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)
