Registered Nurse Manager
About The Position
At SSM, our advanced surgical team spans many different specialties, using the latest technology and advanced procedures to assist patients of all ages using state-of-the-art robotic-assisted technology to offer patients the best surgical solutions for them. We are currently searching for a Surgery Manager to Partner with surgeons and leaders to optimize case flow, scheduling, and outcomes. The selected candidate for this position will oversee about 50 employees in the OR and Sterile Processing Department at St Agnes Hospital as well as the Surgery Center on Camelot Drive. This position is full time in office at St Agnes with two mornings a week at the Surgery Center location. Must have a Bachelor's with prior Management and OR experience!
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Two years' registered nurse experience, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility OR one year of registered nurse experience plus one year of leadership experience
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
- Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
