About The Position

The Perinatal Nurse Residency Program at Atlantic Health aims to support novice Registered Nurses (RNs) in transitioning into the role of a maternity nurse. This program integrates AHWONN’s Perinatal Education and Orientation Program (PEOP) and features a combination of online coursework, instructor-led classes, skills labs, and two clinical tracks: one for Labor and Delivery and one for Mother and Baby. Upon successful completion of the PEOP, participants will earn 50.25 continuing education credits and will have gained 6 months of clinical bedside experience through rotations in relevant roles. The program is offered across the Atlantic Health System, and participants are required to commit to two years of employment with AHS. Non-BSN graduates must complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing within five years of employment. Requirements

  • Non BSN graduates will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of employment
