Our Pre-OP/GI department in our main hospital location consists of 14 pre-op rooms with 1 GI suite and 1 bronchoscopy suite. Our nurses are responsible for assisting with assessments and preparation of patients scheduled for surgery, endoscopy, and bronchoscopies. Our patients are comprised of all ages from 8 months to geriatric. Our nurses practice safe patient care while being self-reliant and understanding hospital resources that can be utilized. Our schedule requires weekend, weekday, and holiday call rotation along with an on-call requirement with a 1-hour response window. Nurses treating patients with compassion, care, and clinical excellence as you will provide critical assessment skills to outpatients and inpatients. Positive environment, teamwork is imperative, strong collaboration with anesthesia and surgeons. Collaboration between inpatient units, the Operating room, Recovery, Physicians, X-ray, Pulmonary team, and Cytology

Requirements

  • Requires 1 year RN experience.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
