About The Position

As an ER Registered Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. This position supports Star Valley Health’s mission, vision, and values and is classified as at-will.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Wyoming RN license
  • Current certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in using clinical equipment and electronic health records (Meditech experience preferred)
  • Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, assist patients, and perform essential nursing duties

  • Meditech experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy
  • Perform triage and assign appropriate categories
  • Monitor and manage patient pain, educating patients and families on pain control
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, managers, and team members
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and charting
  • Participate in department meetings and interdisciplinary care planning
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in Rapid Response Team
  • Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Orient new staff and assist with cost containment
