About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Travel Assignment in the Emergency Department (ED) located in Utica, New York, United States. This role is ideal for a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency nurse with strong clinical judgment and proven ED experience across diverse patient populations. The position is a Travel Assignment for a Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week). Floating is required, and block scheduling is not guaranteed, but weekly guaranteed hours are provided. The Emergency Department (ED) at MVHS – Wynn Emergency Room (Unit 2000128) has a total capacity of 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 Acute, 6 Super Track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 Psych beds. It serves all age groups (Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics) and handles common cases such as Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. Specialty equipment includes a Rapid Infuser system and Arctic Sun (Targeted Temperature Management). Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years ED experience required
- Must include some Pediatric ED experience
- Travel experience is required
- Must hold TNCC certification (in hand at submission)
- Active certifications required: AHA BLS
- Active certifications required: AHA ACLS
- Active certifications required: PALS
- Active certifications required: NIHSS
- Active certifications required: TNCC (mandatory)
- Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
- Must provide: Updated resume with ED and travel experience
- Must provide: Skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialty
- Must provide: Driver’s license with matching demographics
- Must provide: NURSYS verification report
- Must provide: RTO (Requested Time Off) submitted at time of application
- EPIC EMR experience required
