About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a Travel Assignment in the Emergency Department (ED) located in Utica, New York, United States. This role is ideal for a strong emergency nurse who thrives in high-acuity, fast-paced environments and is confident managing a wide range of critical and non-critical patients across all age groups. The position is for a Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) travel assignment. Floating is required, block scheduling is not guaranteed, but weekly guaranteed hours are provided. The specialty unit is the Emergency Department (ED) at MVHS – Wynn Emergency Room (Unit 2000128), which has a total capacity of 64 beds, including 2 Triage beds, 40 Acute beds, 6 Super Track beds, 2 Trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 Psych beds. The patient population includes all age groups: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics, with common cases like Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infuser system and Arctic Sun (Targeted Temperature Management).

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years ED experience required
Must include Pediatric ED experience
Travel experience is required
Must hold TNCC certification (in hand at submission)
Active certifications required: AHA BLS
Active certifications required: AHA ACLS
Active certifications required: PALS
Active certifications required: NIHSS
Active certifications required: TNCC (mandatory)
Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
