About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse - ED Overflow (Boarders) at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. This is a contract position with 13-week contracts available and an opportunity for long-term employment. Night shifts are available. The role involves caring for patients who are admitted and waiting in the ED for bed availability, either in a designated area. The University of Tennessee Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center, a top-ranked hospital in Eastern TN, and a Magnet recognized hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- RN license in the state of Tennessee or Multi-State Compact License
- At least 2 years’ acute care experience (not ED)
- Active BLS
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience preferably in an academic level 1 trauma center
Responsibilities
- Care for patients who are admitted and waiting in the ED on bed availability, either in a designated area
