In this role, the Registered Nurse Clinical Lead will be based at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee Campus in Mequon, WI, specifically within the Nursing Unit 3 North- Med Surg department, working full-time nights. The position involves leading and inspiring clinical teams, directing daily shift operations, fostering a collaborative environment, architecting high-quality patient care by assessing daily needs and strategically assigning resources, championing patient advocacy by resolving care concerns and serving as a bridge between families, physicians, and the nursing team, optimizing unit performance by managing essential resources and supplies, and cultivating professional growth by providing input into hiring, training, and performance development.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Champion patient advocacy by resolving care concerns in real-time, serving as a compassionate bridge between families, physicians, and the nursing team.
  • Optimize unit performance by managing essential resources and supplies, ensuring the frontline staff has everything they need to deliver uninterrupted, safe patient care.
  • Cultivate professional growth by providing meaningful input into hiring, training, and performance development, helping to shape the future of the nursing department.
