How you’ll make an impact in this role Clinical Leadership & Staffing: Direct and educate nursing teams across specialty areas (such as ICU, ER, or Surgical Services) while managing daily assignments to ensure equal workload distribution and productivity. Patient Care Coordination: Assess complex physical and psychological patient needs, coordinate discharge planning, and provide age-specific, culturally appropriate education to families. Operational Management: Oversee patient flow, set shift priorities based on physician and patient dynamics, and ensure the availability of necessary medical supplies and equipment. Quality & Conflict Resolution: Maintain high standards of care by monitoring clinical outcomes, justifying staffing variances, and resolving patient or staff complaints through established channels. Personnel Development & Mission Alignment: Provide critical input on hiring, training, and performance evaluations while upholding core organizational values such as integrity, diversity, and service. What minimum requirements you’ll need BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
