About The Position

Beloit Health System is hiring for a Registered Nurse Clinic to join their team at Beloit Occupational Health and Sports Medicine in Beloit, WI. This full-time position, with a 1st shift schedule from 8a-5p and 40 hours per week, is benefits eligible. The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care and perform necessary procedures for patient care, assist providers, manage client relationships, track employee health data, administer medications and vaccines, maintain inventories and documentation, coordinate injury reports and flu shot programs, and ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable
  • State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required
  • If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date
  • Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply proper procedures to Beloit Health System policies
  • Employee possesses the training, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform the following activities (evaluation, treatment, and patient care) for patients in one or more of the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
  • Successful completion of pre-placement physical examination

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care and perform procedures as necessary for patient care
  • Assist provider with procedures and provides necessary nursing care and procedures as necessary
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applications
  • Work with various clients, including BHS Human Resources to perform and coordinate pre-hire assessments
  • Manage and track employee injuries, illnesses, and exposures
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and TB skin testing
  • Maintain medication, vaccine, and supply inventories
  • Maintain OSHA logs and documentation
  • Submit injury reports to appropriate insurance carrier and complete necessary follow-up
  • Coordinate internal and external flu shot program
  • Consistently use good judgment and professional communication in accommodating patients' needs
  • Strictly adhere to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautions
  • Ensure patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patients
  • Protect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities
  • Initiate and maintain accurate electronic and/or paper medical records
