Our CardioPulmonary Rehabilitation team works collaboratively to support patients recovering from cardiac and pulmonary events. You’ll partner closely with nurses and exercise physiologists in a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on patient recovery, education, and long-term wellness. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Current RN license to practice in North Carolina (or compact state) required
  • BLS (BCLS) required
  • ACLS required
  • Experience in cardiac, pulmonary, or rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced or potentially stressful environment and respond appropriately
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for patient education, recovery, and long-term wellness

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cardiac, pulmonary, or rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with nurses and exercise physiologists to care for patients recovering from cardiac or pulmonary events.
  • Assists with patient workflow, including cardiac telemetry monitoring, vital signs, patient assessments, and patient education.
  • Supports development and maintenance of individualized exercise prescriptions and assists with exercise equipment setup and monitoring.
  • Performs ongoing assessments including physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, and families as appropriate.
  • Documents patient care and interventions accurately.
  • Assists with cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining equipment to ensure a safe patient environment.
  • Maintains logs and documentation as required.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to support coordinated patient care and recovery goals.
  • Participates in professional development opportunities and attends required in-services.
  • Assists with orientation and training of team members as needed.
