Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire
  • Handle with Care required within 30 days of orientation
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Must have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works in collaboration with the nurses and exercise physiologists in the CardioPulmonary Rehabilitation program to care for patients with recent cardiac or pulmonary events.
  • Assisting with the patient process flows, such as cardiac telemetry monitoring, vital signs, patient education, patient assessment, maintaining exercise prescriptions for the patient, setting exercise machines, etc
  • Assists in cleaning/sanitizing/maintaining equipment. Attends in-services as required for position.
  • Assists in maintaining logs as needed.
