About The Position

We are looking for a Registered Dietitian on a temporary basis to cover a 6 month maternity leave beginning in June/July 2026. The position could transition to Per Diem at the end of the temporary assignment.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences.
Maintain a Massachusetts Dietitian License.
Maintain registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
At least 2 years of related administrative and clinical experience in a health care facility.
Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Nice To Haves

Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of patient's nutritional care, which includes formulating nutritional care plans and overseeing their implementation.
Ensure Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice are followed, and make recommendations to appropriate clinical personnel.
Confer with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient’s nutritional status and attend related patient care conferences.
Responsible for nutritional assessment, services and discharge planning.
Assist in developing and implementing the Culinary & Nutritional Department CQI activities.
Provide nutritional counseling and ongoing evaluations.
Responsible for educational sessions regarding diets and eating habits.
Responsible for overall supervision of Culinary Department clinical personnel; includes orientation, training and evaluating performance.
Demonstrate geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge and skills to patient care
