About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join their team at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, CA on a temporary basis. Shasta Regional Medical Center is a 226-bed acute care hospital offering inpatient, outpatient and wellness services. What You'll Do Conduct nutrition assessments and provide nutrition care for patients with a variety of disease states Provide general nutrition care for patients, residents, and the community in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client Function as a nutrition resource to assigned patient care areas and foodservice staff Work with a patient‑centered approach and enthusiasm for building clinical competence while supporting evidence‑based nutrition care and hospital quality standards What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient care
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills to balance patient assessments, documentation, and clinical priorities in a hospital environment
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with clinical documentation and use of electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong interest in building confidence and competency in clinical nutrition practice within a healthcare setting
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
