About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for a mobile role traveling between multiple SNF/LTC/AL communities across the St. Charles, MO area. This position can be filled by one or more RDs and averages 32-38 hours per week onsite, with an additional 4 hours every quarter for three assisted living communities (weekday, business hours), and some remote work between visits. The company, established in 1994, nurtures joy through food with long-term care dining programs, providing dietitian consulting and menu services to over 4,000 healthcare communities. As a Long-Term Care consulting Registered Dietitian, the role involves improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards and working closely with the clinical team to monitor residents' nutritional needs. This includes providing nutrition education, working on MDS, and formulating nutrition assessments. The dietitian also provides guidance on dining services, meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and ensures regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves training and guiding dining managers and staff, assisting with policy development, and monitoring the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent our company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred
  • 2 years of clinical nutrition experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete food safety and sanitation audit
  • Complete meal/dining observation audit
  • Complete any nutrition referrals for high-risk residents
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of the residents
  • Provide nutrition education
  • Work on an MDS with the team
  • Formulate nutrition assessment with input from your dining manager
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff
  • Assist with policy development
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems
