About The Position

Come join our clinical team at Autonomous Behavior Solutions providing in-home and school ABA services to the Long Beach, Lakewood, South Bay, and South LA County Areas. Provide 1:1 ABA intervention to support individuals diagnosed with Autism and related disorders. At Autonomous Behavior Solutions, the behavior technician will be responsible for the following: Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans created by board-certified behavior analysts and clinical supervisors. Ensuring client and family are supported in meeting all aspects of the behavioral program. Implement goals to help support the child reach their fullest potential. Collect, report, and maintain data on the client's progress. Receive direction and provide feedback to the clinical team to help support the client's growth and development. Participate in ongoing training

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Must have an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification.
  • Must be available at least 15-20 hours per-week for part-time and 30 - 35 hours a week for full-time.
  • Must live near or around the surrounding Long Beach, South Bay, and LA County Metropolitan Area.
  • Enthusiastic team members with a desire to support and guide children and families.
  • Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must pass TB test.
  • Must pass criminal background check/fingerprinting clearance.
  • Criminal background clearance through the State DOJ and FBI.
  • Demonstrated capability and readiness to interact with children who exhibit challenging behaviors, such as, but not limited to, aggressive physical actions (e.g., punching, kicking, biting), property disruption (e.g., throwing objects), and non-compliant behaviors (e.g., spitting, inappropriate elimination, scratching).
  • Required: Full physical mobility (standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, running, pushing, pulling) for managing student behaviors; ability to lift 50 pounds with proper technique; fine motor skills; effective oral communication; visual acuity; and comprehension of written instructions.
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Experience with children: 2 year (Required)
  • Driver's License (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years working with children with special needs is preferred.
