About The Position

Twining, Inc., an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company with 120 years of history, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Long Beach facility. Responsibilities will include the following: Performing various types of steel & rebar testing using a Universal Testing Machine. Obtain in-house training for milling & lathe machines. Obtain in-house training on machine safety and test method proficiency. Enter samples into our software accurately. Creating new work order numbers and entering testing data and billing items. Computer data entry. Assistance in other departments in the laboratory as needed. Help with pickups on a daily basis.

Requirements

Experience in concrete, soil, rebar, and various metals testing helpful.
1+ years previous experience working with construction materials helpful.
Basic mathematics skills.
Ability to work well as both a team player and individual self-starter.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
Basic computer skills, specifically experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
Solid communication skills.
Clean DMV record.
