About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), either full-time or part-time, who embodies a profound passion for transforming the lives of children and their families. We are seeking someone who will not only bring their expertise but also demonstrate a genuine commitment to uplifting and empowering our youngest generation. Qualifications & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities: Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to various supports and reinforcements Follows behavioral and educational plans/interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeking appropriate consultation as needed Provide crisis intervention and back-up support as necessary and requested Collect daily behavioral and target data. Qualifications: Demonstrated strong skills in communication and behavior management. Ability to be flexible and to work collaboratively. Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and safely. Strong skills in writing. Demonstrated capacity for empathy and creative problem solving. Comfortable with providing and receiving regular feedback Don't have your RBT Certification yet? Follow these steps! This position requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification which starts with completing a quick 40 hour online training! To get started, choose one of the training options below: Relias - This is a high quality training and one that we recommend the most. It costs $100. Behavior Tech Course - This training is $30 and has options to purchase additional study materials. KidsChoice will help you along the way but once you finish the 40-hour training these are the next steps: Contact KidsChoice HR and send a copy of your RBT certification. Get high school transcript. Reach out to KidsChoice to schedule competency assessment. Apply for the RBT exam with high school transcript, 40-hour training certification, and competency assessment. Take the test and wait for license. Send license, ID, and social security to KidsChoice for insurance credentialing.
