This position will be based out of Banfield Pet Hospital’s Mid Atlantic region (ex: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Charleston, SC; Alexandria, VA). Summary and Qualifications: Drive a culture of associate engagement, associate experience, and associate development to maximize the to maximize the financial, medical and client experience results of Banfield hospitals. Provide effective leadership to Field Directors to support Banfield’s strategic priorities. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks: Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team. Motivate and lead Field Directors to develop high performing teams allowing them to achieve their full professional potential and deliver outstanding, high quality medical care, client service and business results. Manage the profitability and finances of assigned region to maximize growth, improvement, practicing strategic planning to promote future success and growth. Collaborate with Vice President Veterinary Quality, Regional People & Organization (P&O) Director and Regional Finance Manager and other cross-functional partners to provide solutions that best support practice goals and strategic priorities. Conduct strategic planning, including real estate strategy and various modes of care, to promote future success and growth of the division and region. Develop Field Directors to have the necessary skillset and capabilities to successfully teach, coach and train hospital leaders and associates. Develop effective communication with associates, clients, field leadership and Central Team Support (CTS). Responsible for developing a sustainable pipeline of talent at multiple levels of leadership within the region and markets. Responsible for overall field and hospital leader and paraprofessional retention within region. Provide a clear vision to field leaders and hospital associates to drive an OWP culture. Ensure compliance with all practice ethics, policies, protocols, and procedures and all local, state, and federal laws. Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates and the maintenance of clean, safe, and organized hospitals. Other job duties as assigned. Special Working Conditions: Residential Requirement: All regional leaders are required to live in their assigned region with the ability to establish and maintain a home office. This position requires 80% travel. Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 25 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment. The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate. Environment where pets are present.
