About The Position

The Regional Vice President (RVP) is the full business owner of a defined geographic region. This role carries direct accountability for revenue growth, EBITDA performance, safety, asset utilization, customer satisfaction, working capital discipline, and leadership development. The RVP operates as a builder, not a maintainer. The expectation is continuous performance improvement, disciplined execution of company strategy, and development of a strong bench of leaders capable of scaling the region. This is a high-visibility leadership role within a private equity-backed platform. The RVP must demonstrate ownership, decision speed, financial acumen, and the ability to drive accountability across multiple branches.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in operations, branch management, or regional leadership
  • At least 5 years of experience managing multiple locations or business units
  • Experience in industrial services, equipment rental, waste management, construction, logistics, or a similar asset heavy environment
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and fleet or equipment-based operations
  • Proven ability to manage P&L performance and drive financial results
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop managers and frontline teams
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and execution skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region

Responsibilities

  • Own full regional P&L performance.
  • Deliver 8–10% annual revenue growth targets.
  • Protect and improve EBITDA margin aligned with enterprise targets (30%+ platform goal).
  • Improve EBITDA per branch year-over-year.
  • Maintain labor and operating expenses within defined bands.
  • Drive working capital discipline, including DSO accountability.
  • Identify and correct underperforming branches within one quarter.
  • Conduct weekly financial performance reviews and take immediate corrective action when performance drifts.
  • Build and develop a high-performing regional leadership team.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Area Managers and Branch Managers.
  • Conduct structured weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports.
  • Drive quarterly performance reviews and succession planning.
  • Identify high-potential leaders and develop a regional talent bench.
  • Address underperformance promptly through coaching or personnel changes.
  • Build at least one ready-now successor for future regional leadership.
  • Drive long-term regional growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and execute a 12–24 month regional growth plan.
  • Support national account expansion within the region.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and underserved markets.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on large or strategic opportunities.
  • Evaluate branch expansion, consolidation, or tuck-in acquisition opportunities.
  • Ensure new growth aligns with margin and capital return expectations.
  • Protect and optimize the company’s asset base.
  • Drive +2–3% annual improvement in asset utilization.
  • Enforce centralized fleet governance and redeployment decisions.
  • Prevent unnecessary or premature capital expenditures.
  • Ensure proper asset care, maintenance, and lifecycle adherence.
  • Partner with the Fleet Director to align regional demand with enterprise asset strategy.
  • Set and enforce high operational standards across the region.
  • Establish visible leadership presence in safety culture.
  • Hold Branch Managers accountable for incident prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead post-incident reviews and corrective action plans.
  • Drive standardized operating practices and continuous improvement.
  • Drive momentum and eliminate organizational friction.
  • Make operational decisions within 48 hours when issues arise.
  • Escalate only true policy or capital exceptions.
  • Remove obstacles that slow branch performance.
  • Prevent analysis paralysis through decisive leadership.
  • Ensure enterprise initiatives are executed consistently at the regional level.
  • Implement pricing governance and discount controls.
  • Execute ERP, systems, and integration milestones.
  • Support synergy realization efforts.
  • Communicate corporate strategy clearly to regional teams.
  • Eliminate legacy operating silos.
