About The Position

Oversees manages and directs all Gastroenterology & Respiratory Care capital and disposable sales activity as well as repair service and all ancillary products and services related to GI & R. The Regional Sales Director is the local facilitator with a geographical influence of the overall Olympus business strategy. A major emphasis is on revenue growth of all product and service categories overall profitability increase of Financial Services penetration and reduction of redundant cost. The Regional Sales Director is also responsible for maintaining relationships with the Key Opinion Leaders within his her geographical responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a proven successful Sales Representative in a related field; people management preferred. Prior history managing IDNs preferred.
  • Must know the endoscope and related disposable device business medical business and hospital network system.
  • Must have a exemplary reputation among peers in order to provide leadership.
  • Must be able to implement territorial regional divisional and corporate objectives for MSG.
  • Must understand all business and financial applications relating to the GI & R goals strategic and overall medical business to drive revenue and profit growth.
  • Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Strong procedural and product knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of customer base and business environment.
  • Excellent computer skills - Word, Outlook, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Plans directs and manages the activities of the Endoscopy Account Managers Clinical Endotherapy and Application Specialists as well as other field support service personnel.
  • Responsibile for Revenue growth of GI & R capital and disposable products repair service and all ancillary products as well as overall profitability of his her region.
  • Responsible for the recruitment hiring training development and disciplinary activity for his her direct reports.
  • Supports the company s HR and Professional Ethics policies and programs.
  • Plans and conducts periodic regional sales meetings to educate train and stimulate his her direct reports.
  • Support and strengthen relationships with existing IDNs (Integrated Delivery Networks) within the region while proactively identifying and cultivating new business opportunities with additional IDNs to drive strategic growth.
  • Develops an annual business plan consistent with the direction of MSG leadership and the Area Vice President.
  • Conducts weekly Cadence Calls to identify and qualify opportunities and move business through the process to successful completion.
  • Ensures full participation in the CRM program by the Endoscopy Account Managers Clinical Endotherapy specialists and all direct reports.
  • Has a deep understanding of the regional business opportunities and can delivers an accurate sales forecast based on this knowledge to the Area Vice President on a monthly basis.
  • Identifies opportunities for growth across all MSG businesses and communicates with the Healthcare Services personnel where possible leveraging opportunities may lie.
  • Coordinates and directs the daily activity of the Endoscopy Account Managers Clinical Endotherapy Specialists and other field support personnel to increase sales and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Establishes and maintains positive business relationships with physicians nurses and hospital administrators. Cultivates promotes and maintains KOL relationships on behalf of MSG within the Region by periodic personal visits.
  • Maintains a productive and beneficial relationship with clinicians and business executives within the Region.
  • Assures all Endoscopy Account Managers are up to date and compliant with all asset tracking initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of the region s individual territories. Represents top management as an advocate of the company and the division to all field personnel.
  • Controls travel budgets of region. Provides input and trend information to management and marketing personnel through weekly bullet reports Cadence Calls and frequent interaction with corporate personnel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
