We are looking for a Regional Training Instructor to join our team in Buena Park, CA. This role involves providing training for the Automotive Refinish Group of BASF. As the Regional Trainer, you will lead the development and execution of technical application training programs and manage a training center. You will conduct courses for internal BASF team members, distributor team members, and end consumers, both in-person and virtually. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating e-Learning modules and serving as the digital expert for our digital tools and social media platforms. Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or at least 5 years in the automotive collision industry with technical hands-on experience.
  • Have previous training instructor expertise or a high school diploma with at least ten years of industry expertise in the automotive collision industry.
  • Are experienced in leading and facilitating groups (preferred) and have strong leadership skills, excellent team building, and organization skills
  • Have excellent ability to leverage digital solutions.
  • Are an expert with applying automotive refinish products.
  • Are proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point and comfortably navigate multiple computer software packages.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a training facility, including working with co-workers, agencies, and vendors to obtain third party services for maintenance and on-going operations
  • Researching and implementing new training methods and digital solutions to drive innovation in our training procedures and add value with customers. You will also Identify future training opportunities and create a curriculum to facilitate that training
  • Leading and facilitating training courses for internal and external customers, both in-person and virtually, including technical and digital business software
  • Developing and coordinating training material for certifications and other courses that pertain to the refinish process.
  • Participating on the User Acceptance Team for Refinity color and business solutions, as well as assisting in development of ideas and strategies for value-added programs and services.
  • Participating in collision industry events to support BASF’s initiatives.
