About The Position

Are you inspired by invention? Is problem solving through teamwork in your DNA? Do you like the idea of seeing how your work impacts the bigger picture? Answer yes to any of these and you’ll fit right in here at the Reliability Engineering Deployment & Innovation (REDI) Team. We are a smart team of doers who work passionately to apply advances in mechatronics and robotics to solve real-world challenges that will transform our customers’ experiences in ways we can’t even imagine yet. The Solutions Engineering (SE) team engages on all aspects of high-level support for the control systems within every Amazon building globally. This work takes the form of direct field engagement for launch and existing facilities, commissioning, on-call, continuous improvement, change management, project management, training, security, infrastructure and systems administration. In this role, you will hire and develop a team of engineers working directly with a wide number of stakeholder teams, to maximize the performance, availability and quality of the technologies in your pillar. To accomplish this, you will drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including Operations, RME, Process Engineering, Operations Engineering, World-Wide Design and other engineering entities. Your team delivers robust lifecycle management approaches, that are scalable, reduce manual work and overall reduce the cost of ownership of the systems you support. You will deliver this through the use of statistics and data analytics, structured problem solving, implementation of global support mechanisms, system performance monitoring tools, identification and dissemination of best practices. In this role, you will develop and implement standard operating procedures, optimal code/parameter sets, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms to ensure reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment.
