About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager will be the primary point of contact for dealers in the assigned territory. This role is responsible for delivering volume, share, and profit targets for the Malibu and Axis brands in the assigned territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Lead sales for assigned territory in meeting or exceeding the Company objectives and plans that have been developed for the territory…unit goal & retail/share achievement. Utilizing the analytics and knowledge of the individual dealer’s assigned territory, work with dealers to ensure intelligent projections/commitments for production planning. Work with dealers to ensure that the Sales Program (Dealer Performance Program) for a given model year is communicated and that dealer has a complete understanding of the deadlines and procedures required to enhance the quality and on time delivery of Malibu product. Evaluate and report on dealer performance of agreed upon KPIs - wholesale commitments, confirmation timing, retail targets, market share, inventory positions and CSAT. Hold assigned dealers accountable to achieving agreed upon KPIs - wholesale commitments, confirmation timing, retail targets, market share, inventory positions and CSAT. Work with dealers in assigned territory to develop and train sales teams to drive improved sales efforts at dealership level. Educate dealers in assigned territory on competitive information and analysis. Utilize this information to ensure the dealer is armed and able to sell intelligently/successfully vs. the competition. Identify new dealer targets in assigned territory. As a representative of Malibu & Axis always protect the Brands and reputation of the company. Ensure key communications from MBI are distributed to all assigned dealers in a timely fashion. Share voice-of-customer/market feedback with Sales leadership. Escalate issues and opportunities to Sales Director in real-time. Visit top 10 dealers in assigned region 2-3 times/year, other dealers as needed and provide visit summary reports. Provide ad-hoc in-person support for key events - boat shows, demo days, etc. Estimated travel time: 50%+. Other duties may be assigned. #MalibuBoats

Requirements

  • Marine industry experience required.
  • Leadership skills and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents and data.
  • Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or seven years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, electronic mail, procedures and performance documents, as examples, in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively conduct meetings in person and with technology assistance.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
