About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Des Moines team. This role leads a team of sales account executives across the Midwest and is key in developing strategic sales plans for territory growth, driving print marketing initiatives, and expanding traditional envelope sales. Based in the local Des Moines area, this role reports to the VP, General Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets along with a strong understanding of sales cycles, pipelines and account management.
  • Strong delegation, decision-making, and performance management skills.
  • Clear and persuasive verbal and written communications skills along with active listening and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Ability to interpret data to drive decisions and optimize team performance.
  • Results driven, focused on continuous improvement and takes responsibility for team performance and achieving business objectives.
  • Expertise in developing trusted, long-term customer relationships, leveraging insight into customer needs, motivation, and buyer behavior.
  • Proven experience adapting strategies in changing market conditions and managing team challenges to maintain performance momentum.
  • Eight or more years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably within the print, packaging or envelope industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent, in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of printing processes, design principles, and envelope manufacturing, preferred.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of various envelope and printed products, including different paper stocks, sizes, finishing options, and printing technologies, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Motivates, coaches, and develops a high-performing sales team.
  • Sets sales targets, monitor and address team performance results.
  • Creates and executes sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Communicates with stakeholders at all levels, using clear, informative and persuasive communication skills.
  • Utilizes customer relationship management (CRM) tools and sales analytics to optimize performance and make informed decisions.
  • Interprets data to drive decisions and optimize team performance.
  • Builds long-term customer partnerships using strong understanding of customer relationships and buyer psychology.
  • Will pivot as needed in dynamic markets or changing conditions, handling objections and team challenges effectively.
  • Focuses on results and continuous improvement and owns responsibility of team performance and achieving business objectives.
