We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and execute strategic growth initiatives within our residential housing channel. This role is responsible for developing and implementing regional sales strategies, strengthening key customer relationships, and driving revenue and profitability across the territory. You will lead and develop Outside Sales and Customer Service teams while partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Inside Sales to deliver consistent results and an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales management experience with demonstrated success leading high-performing teams
  • Experience in the building products, manufactured housing, construction, or related distribution environment (1-step and 2-step distribution preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and performance metrics
  • Proven ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategy
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire Outside Sales and Customer Service teams to achieve performance and growth objectives
  • Establish clear performance metrics and accountability standards
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and territory planning sessions
  • Mentor team members in sales strategy, product knowledge, and industry trends
  • Build bench strength through succession planning and professional development
  • Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Set quarterly and annual revenue targets and monitor progress
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and performance gaps
  • Drive new business development while strengthening existing customer partnerships
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and adjust strategies based on market conditions
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations and contract discussions
  • Identify emerging market segments and growth opportunities
  • Monitor competitor activity and position Westland for sustained competitive advantage
  • Ensure exceptional service standards and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns and product launches
  • Partner with Operations and Logistics to ensure product availability and delivery excellence
  • Work with Finance on pricing strategy, budgeting, and ROI analysis
  • Represent the sales organization in cross-functional initiatives
