About The Position

Regional Sales Manager - Western North America Basic to $120,000 Bonus Package: 401k, car/allowance, medical etc. Remote - Western USA – You will be based west of Wichita, KS Most Sales Jobs Are Bullshit. This One Isn't. There is a good chance you're probably selling something nobody really needs. Software that solves problems people didn't have. Widgets destined for landfills. Services that exist purely because someone convinced someone else they were necessary. This organisation is different. They make products that stop people from dying. For over 40 years, the company has designed life-saving equipment that stands between workers and death. While you've been hitting quotas for SaaS subscriptions, they have been the reason thousands of people made it home to their families. Most salespeople couldn't handle what our client does. You'll need to understand complex technical systems, navigate heavy industrial environments, and earn trust from people whose lives depend on getting it right. No slick pitch decks. No growth hacking. Just real products protecting real people in oil refineries, chemical plants, and confined spaces where one wrong move means catastrophe. What You'll Actually Do Control all sales across Western North America and Canada for a major manufacturer, making this region your own. You will sell products that matter. Build relationships with channel partners who know bullshit when they see it. Travel up to 50% (you decide when and where) because Zoom calls don't cut it when you're selling safety equipment to engineers. You'll need to hit sales quotas and drive regional profitability while deploying go-to-market strategies that don't insult people's intelligence. CRM management, demand creation, customer relationships – you know, the usual suspects, but with consequences that matter. What We're Looking For You will have learned the hard way through real experience. That will best a certificate every time. It would be perfect if that experience is within gas detection, fire detection products etc, but it is more about you 2+ years technical sales experience into oil and gas, chemical, heavy industry etc. Proven track record that's more than just lucky timing Entrepreneurial mindset - there is no hand holding in this business MBA (if you think it matters) Who You Are You communicate without corporate jargon. You've achieved sales goals, not just participated in achieving them. You plan, organize, and manage resources without needing a consultant to tell you how. You can learn complex technical products because you're intellectually curious, not just quota obsessed. You're straightforward and allergic to office politics. You disrupt the status quo because the status quo gets complacent, and complacency kills. You'll travel extensively because that's where the work is. Most importantly: you want your work to mean something. What We Won't Tell You The company name. Not yet. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of a major global technology group with operations in 20+ countries and 6,000+ employees worldwide. The parent company has decades of record revenues and sits in the FTSE 100. They are successful. They are stable. They are not going anywhere. But they are selective. Very selective. The Bottom Line So, if you want to sell something that actually prevents human tragedy in industrial workplaces across North America, let's talk. Interested? Submit your application. No cover letter fluff. Just tell us what you've sold, what you've achieved, and why you're wasting your talent wherever you are now.
