We are located in suburban Glenview, Illinois – just 30 minutes northwest of Chicago. United National Life (UNL) has an opportunity for a motivated sales manager to join a company that has a proven track record of growth and is ready to take the next step. UNL has grown premium significantly over the last five years and is looking to do it again. We are looking for a motivated Regional Sales Manager who is willing to go the extra mile. We are searching for the right person to bring their recruiting, training and motivation skills, as well as their contacts, to be part of this exciting new chapter at UNL. Position Overview Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager will recruit, train and motivate independent sales agents to sell UNL products. Candidate will need to have a good understanding of the always changing healthcare marketplace including supplemental product offerings.

Requirements

  • 5 years of proven industry experience specifically related to the sales and marketing of insurance products through multiple distribution channels
  • Detailed understanding of the insurance industry and experience interacting with distribution leadership
  • Must also have demonstrated leadership ability, strong relationship building skills and be comfortable speaking in front of large group
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling and/or wholesaling supplemental insurance products such as Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, hospital indemnity and critical illness products is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual sales goals by successfully recruiting and supporting distribution partners to increase submitted, annualized health and life premium
  • Build and maintain relationships with territory FMOs/IMOs, General Agencies and Agents
  • Work with UNL’s sales leadership team to identify trends in our marketplace and leverage opportunities to generate additional new business revenue
  • Provide regular product training classes both virtually and on-site
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all UNL products, services and administrative capabilities and regularly communicate with the leadership team
  • Ability to travel to visit distribution partners (up to 50% of the time)
